Judy Rogers
Meet the Artist
Judy’s interest in drawing began early. Her dad was a drafting and woodworking teacher in Andrews High School and so teaching Judy how to draw houses in perspective was a natural way to introduce her to art. Judy has a BFA in Art Education at Texas Tech and later she completed a Masters in Studio Art at West Texas A&M. She credits her love of color to studying under Amarillo, artist, Jack Sorenson. When she exchanged oils for acrylics, she began studying each year with Santa Fe and Carmel acrylic painter, William Hook.
Judy’s subjects range from New Mexico landscapes to florals to California missions. Each year, Judy designs a Santa that have become part of many families’ collections.
Judy is married to Steve Rogers and they have two married sons and nine grandchildren who have begun to share her passion for art! She feels very blessed to have art as a way of expressing how God’s blessings surround us each day.
Judy Rogers Art can be seen at The Right Angle, Moonwater Design, and
